fire resistance

Flame Resistance is the ability of a material to withstand flame exposure. Fire-resistant (self-extinguishing) materials may burn when exposed to a flame, but will not continue to burn once the flame is removed. When evaluating fire resistance, many important factors including burning rate, smoke density, smoke toxicity, and molten material droplets are considered.

flexibility

Flexibility is a property of a material that shows how well it adheres to curved surfaces and it’s ability to bend freely.

FMVSS 302

FMVSS 302 – Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (USA) No. 302. Specifies fire resistance requirements for materials used in passenger compartments of motor vehicles.
