Transparent VHB tapes
Transparent VHB tape is crystal clear acrylic VHB tape. It is colourless making it ideal for bonding transparent materials or for applications where a coloured bond line is unacceptable. These tapes have somewhat lower peel, tensile and shear performance than most other VHB due to their inherent softness. It is commonly used in applications to join transparent material or where clear or colorless tape is preferred. It is specifically designed for good adhesion to metal, glass and plastics such as polycarbonate and acrylic.
Application ideas include sealing between inner and outer dome of skylights, attaching handles to sliding glass doors, mounting back lit translucent signs and edge bond resin filled glass, attaching edges to the plexiglass, joining of glasses in the production of a triplex (fill method).
Common uses of removable VHB tape 4658 include point-of-purchase displays and signs, dispensers, nameplates and other general purpose mounting applications.
