Computer Assembly

Marking computers when assembling

In the production and assembly of computers and other computer equipment consisting of components and modules, two types of self-adhesive labels are used: information and sealing.

information label contains information about the manufacturer, model name, batch number and series, assembler, packer, etc. As a rule, this is a large sticker of an attractive appearance with a lot of text, a logo. Printing on these labels is highly resistant to abrasion and UV due to a special surface coating and the use of RESIN ribbons.

sealing marking warns the user and informs the manufacturer about unauthorized opening of the electronic device case. Warranty stickers have a multi-layered structure, on which, when opened, either inscriptions and drawings appear irreversibly, or the sticker is irreversibly destroyed. Thermal transfer printing can also be applied to this type of label, but they can also be used without printing. Stickers are applied to the mounting fasteners, joints blocking the inconspicuous dismantling of the component.

Information marking

Information label

Contents: The marking contains information about the build date and builder.

Purpose: identification of the equipment model, information about the brand, manufacturer.

Materials: metallized, silver, white and other self-adhesive labels. Thermal transfer ribbons resin for printing.

Application examples:
9 – hard drive
6 – optical drive

Sealing marking

Sealing with warranty label

Contents: label contains information about the assembler and/or a warning label, for example, “Do not remove”, “Void of warranty!”

Purpose: to prevent the replacement of easily removable parts of the computer with faulty ones and self-repair.

Materials: warranty tamper evident labels leaving traces when peeling off or collapsing and not re-sticking.

Application examples:
1 – cooling fan
2 – processors
2 – RAM modules
5 – motherboard
3 – optical drive on the case
7 – optical drive on the drive
10 – hard drive
