These requirements are administered by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
A removable adhesive is an adhesive layer characterized by low final adhesion to a wide range of surfaces. A label with this kind of adhesive can be removed from a surface without damaging the label or surface or leaving any adhesive residue.
Repositionable adhesive is an adhesive layer that allows the label to be reapplied to another location and does not limit the number of times it can be reapplied. Repositionable adhesive does not form permanent adhesion over time.
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a wireless technology that allows products to be identified using radio waves. The RFID chip is placed on the adhesive side of the label. RF labels are used primarily for product labeling and also for collecting logistics data.
