BfR (Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung) is the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (formerly the German Federal Health Authority, BGA). Although its regulations apply to Germany, they also are used for food contact in other EU countries. The adhesives used in the food industry must comply with the corresponding BfR regulations.
