ANSI

ANSI is the American National Standards Institute. It is a private organization responsible for developing voluntary industry standards. ANSI sets safety standards for many types of products. These standards often include procedures for labeling and displaying warnings and hazard information. ANSI also sets standards for barcode printing and verification.

An applicator is a device or equipment that automatically feeds and applies self-adhesive labels, tapes, adhesives to a product or surface.

Asset labels are adhesive or non-adhesive tags used to speed up and simplify the regular inventory of a business’s fixed assets and property. They come in a variety of styles and are manufactured according to the specifications of the property owner. Various possibilities can be used: barcoding, color coding, serialization, lamination, etc.

ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials, is a global organization that develops voluntary consensus standards. Nowadays there are about 12 thousand ASTM standards in use all around the world and many of them relate directly or indirectly to the labeling industry.

Autoclaving is widely used sterilization method that uses heat and/or steam to kill microorganisms. Sterilization is processed in a hermetically sealed chamber, where the temperature is raised and hot steam under pressure is supplied.
